Amanda chats with Ally Pintucci, the owner and creative director of Agency-ish, a new type of creative agency for freelancers. Ally is a commercial photographer and digital influencer who believes in the power of self love as a business owner, setting boundaries, and cultivating meaningful relationships with fellow creatives.
She started out in the world of sales and then move to work in traditional ad agencies. After several unfulfilling years, she decided to take a leap of faith and start her own creative business. She openly shares about her struggles with depression and anxiety throughout her career, and how they’ve ultimately made her a more empathetic, intuitive woman and business owner.
“This can sometimes be a controversial statement, but sometimes anxiety or depression can be used as buzzwords when people post. I had suicidal thoughts. I had to go on antidepressants…. Look, I went through the wringer, but in hindsight, I learned how to get support, I learned how to manage it, and I learned what boundaries were and what my needs were and how I could honor those things. And it makes a big difference.”
Amanda and Ally also talk in depth about the influencer industry, getting your first high-ticket client, pricing strategy, Ally’s favorite client projects, and more.
